10 Easy Items You Need For A More Sustainable 2020!
If you are looking for ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle in 2020 and beyond, then you must check out this list of my favorite zero waste items. I personally use these fabulous finds around my home every single day! They are not only a great way to be more mindful of our beautiful Mother Earth but I have found that these are more functional and prettier than their disposal alternatives! A pantry full of stacked glass containers perfectly organized? YES PLEASE!
- Stoneware Berry Baskets – Head to your favorite produce market instead of the grocery store for your fresh fruits this year. You’ll be shopping and organizing your refrigerator in style!
- Wool Dryer Balls – These are so great with their fragrance-free and natural fibers, your sensitive skin will thank you for the switch.
- Bamboo Brushes – An easy switch from plastic to bamboo for all your cleaning brushes. The wood color is so pretty too!
- Beeswax Paper – I said NO to plastic wrap not too long ago and it has been so freeing! These beeswax paper designs are so cute and guess what, you don’t have to wrestle with the horrid roll of plastic wrap any longer.
- Mesh Produce Bags – No more tying up plastic produce bags. These mesh bags have drawstring ties and are machine washable! They take up next to zero space in your reusable grocery bag or tote!
- Collapsable Grocery Tote – Upgrade your reusable grocery bags to a great big collapsable tote which you can repurpose for all your toting needs.
- Glass Storage Jars – From sourdough starter to popcorn kernels, you can house anything in these pretty jars and organize your shelves to visual perfection.
- Bamboo Straws – Never use a plastic straw again and opt for reusable or these eco-friendly bamboo straws if you hate cleaning out straws as I do.
- Glass Tupperware – This is a no brainer. Store your food in glass containers! It’s better for your health and better for the environment. Pro tip: Use beeswax paper as lids for easy, no plastic food storage.
- Tea Towels – Save the paper towels and opt for these pretty tea towels which double as a kitchen tool! If you are like me and you bake a lot, you probably cover your dough bowls with plastic wrap from time to time. I have switched to tea towels recently and I will never look at plastic wrap again.
