Hearty Soup Dinner
I absolutely adore colorful green, yellow, and orange gourds. Especially the really warty ones with all their character. Carve them out and place little bowls inside and you have a super cute decorative gourd bowl for your Halloween table! You can get this recipe for my creamy corn chowder here!
They looked so pretty overflowing on each plate…
Spooky Cocktails
Add a dash of whimsy with dry ice cocktails like this apple cider martini or the spooky sangria! I have some great spooky cocktail recipes on the blog for all your bartending needs. Read that post here: Spooky Cocktails
Personal Pumpkin Artisan Bread Bowls
If you aren’t into the gourds for bowls. Try your hand at these beautiful pumpkin-shaped personal bread bowls. I used my artisan bread recipe and divided it into 4 before shaping it into pumpkins using cooking string.
Slice the top of the loaf off with a bread knife and just use your finger to hollow out a soup bowl area. I also like to toast it before adding the soup so it’s super hot. I used the stems from real pumpkins to complete the pumpkin shape.
