2019 Valentine’s Day Food Transformation Guide

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s time for the yearly food transformation guide full of hearts and pink deliciousness to inspire you in the kitchen! Make these for your sweetie or give the best homemade gifts to your pals! Here is the link to last year’s guide for even more ideas…

1) Easy Cut Out Donuts

Grab these cute cookie cutters and roll out a package of Pillsbury Biscuit Dough 1/4 inch thin before cutting. Fry them in oil at 365F (I use a candy thermometer) for two minutes on each side.  Cool on a paper towel before dipping in a powdered sugar glaze and adding sprinkles! This powdered sugar glaze is made of 2 cups powdered sugar, +/- a spoon full of milk, and one drop of red food dye.

 2) Strawberry & Goat Cheese Salad

Need a healthy alternative? Fruit cuts particularly well and maintains its shape. Try any fruit combination or this delicious spinach, strawberry, goat cheese, and almond topped salad with a balsamic vinegarette. Need a mini heart shaped cookie cutter? Here ya go! 3) Macarons, Styled, Two Ways.

Dress up your favorite dessert with a little edible gold paint or roll the ganache in an assortment of themed sprinkles! To add gold paint to your macarons, try mixing edible gold dust with almond extract to create a paint mixture that dries fast. 4) Punny Brownies

Puns and cute sayings on food are my favorites! For this trick, grab your Cricut and cut out a cute quote with cardstock. Add the letters carefully to your dessert creation and then cover with a thin coat of powdered sugar. Use tweezers to carefully remove your paper stencil lettering. 5) Homemade Marbled Ravioli

For the more adventurous chef, serve up a gourmet dinner with this homemade marbled pasta! If you don’t know how to make pasta yet, don’t worry, we have you covered with an upcoming how-to post you don’t want to miss.

For this creation, knead one drop of red food dye into your already formed dough and fold until the desired marble effect is obtained. Run through your pasta roller (I LOVE MY KITCHENAID ATTACHMENT), fill with your favorite ravioli ingredients and cut with this cute cutter you can find here! 6) Candy Popcorn

Opting for a movie night in? Transform your favorite entertainment snack to fit the occasion with this pink candied popcorn recipe we found here!Happy Valentine’s Day, loves!!

XOXO
