S’mores Pizza Recipe
S’mores Pizza Recipe
My kiddo just turned 10 years old and for this birthday, he requested a house favorite, the s’mores pizza. The s’mores pizza was his favorite dessert from his birthday party 2 years ago. You can see that “Home Slice” party here and get inspired! I made three of these s’mores pizzas for his class and put them in homemade pizza boxes for some extra cute styling. If you want something different from the normal cookies or cupcakes, this may be the ticket! It’s also such a yummy recipe. I highly suggest adding your own chocolatey favorites for toppings like chunks of peanut butter cups. This recipe is fabulous fresh out of the oven but I made them the night before to make it easy on myself and they were still awesome the next day. They also cut into slices easier after they’ve cooled and hardened.
S’mores Pizza Recipe
Makes: 1 pizza, 6-8 slices/servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, divided
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, tightly packed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- chocolate syrup and/or other chocolates for drizzling/topping (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Line an aluminum baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Using a food processor, finely process the graham crackers into fine crumbs. It will take 1 package of rectangle graham crackers.
- In a medium bowl whisk together ¾ cup of graham cracker crumbs, the flour, and baking soda.
- In the bowl of an electric stand mixer, cream together the butter, sugars, and salt.
- Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Add in the dry ingredients and slowly mix until fully combined.
- Using your fingers, press the dough onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet to form an extra-large round circle. About a 1/8″ in thickness.
- Use a fork to pierce the dough all over.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the crust begins to brown and is baked through.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips, leaving a rim around the outside untouched for the pizza crust.
- After a few minutes, the chocolate chips will have warmed enough to spread out smooth like pizza sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup graham cracker crumbs, then the mini marshmallows and the remaining ¼ cup chocolate chips.
- Place under a broiler set to high for 1-3 minutes or until the marshmallows are just browned. Watch closely so the marshmallows don’t burn.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with chocolate syrup and any other toppings you enjoy. I love chopped peanut butter cups on my slice!
