4th Of July Picnic Styling!
4th Of July Picnic Styling!
Happy 4th of July! I am naturally drawn to nautical blue and white-themed styling so I thought a beach picnic would be the perfect setting for a casual and pretty 4th of July celebration. This dinner party is all about simple and refined details, delicious food, and a great location to watch the fireworks.
My wonderful friend Angie, of Pink Apron Confections, created this USA cookie collection that I had to arrange as a cookie box. The colors are muted, the reds are not bold, making it the perfect fit for this picnic. I invested in pretty beach chairs and umbrellas that I could reuse and enjoy for years to come. These wood lounge chairs can be found here and the blue stripe and fringe umbrella here! For the linens, I got the blue tablecloth which can be used as a beach towel or blanket from pottery barn. I also found the star napkins on pottery barn which I have used repeatedly. I love collecting classic linens that I can continue to use and enjoy. If you’ve never made your own hamburger buns, I highly suggest it! There is nothing like a fresh homemade hamburger bun with all the fixings. My favorite hamburger bun recipe is from King Arthur. Very easy and makes the world of difference! You can make any cocktail themed with the addition of sparklers or colorful paper straws! And if you want to go the distance, add a few paper details like this waterproof National Anthem scroll and USA paper flags. That’s right, I could take this giant scroll backdrop to the beach! I got my paper pieces from my friend Cami Monet. She is an incredibly talented watercolor artist here in Florida! Happy 4th of July, USA friends!
