Oceanfront dinner for two!
Styled for Two ~ Date Night Inspiration
Romance by the Sea
SO FUN!! I loved adding to the directory of date night inspiration with this seaside dining date. My friend and fellow wedding photographer, Danae, asked me to create this super romantic date for her bo and it came out so darling. We had a ball shooting the details, you may recognize her from past shoots, she is one of my favorite models, such a gorgeous person inside and out!
We started the date with a watercolor map of the location by our dear friend, Jessalynn of Flax and Wool Designs wrapped up in a calligraphy invitation suite by Kelsey Malie Calligraphy. We burned the edges of the watercolor map to make it look like a treasure map, I loved that piece SOOOOO much!! The calligraphy invitation suite was custom designed just for the shoot and written on the most beautiful soft cotton paper. It was a textural experience for this stylist, mmmmmmmmm…
The menus were set for seaside dining with mussels and steamed shrimp, yummy! All wrapped up in a linen napkin and silk ribbon. The table runner is a muslin cloth and I found the shell mother of pearl plates and martini glasses at home goods. They are just the right touch for classy but beachy design, not over done.
We found the dress at Charlotte Russe! A floor length navy blue flowy dress was perfect for the setting and set off Danae’s eye color. Keep reading for more tips and inspiration so you can create your own over the top styled date night!
Tip: I always take photos BEFORE the date starts so an unplugged experience is ready to go!
