This recipe for keto everything bagels is based on fathead dough and souped-up with my favorite prep and baking techniques! These bagels are an amazing match! Keto Everything Bagels
Makes: 4 Bagels
Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 tbsp baking powder
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 tbsp (1 oz) cream cheese
- 1 large egg + 1 egg for the egg wash
- everything bagel seasoning
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, sift together the almond flour and baking powder to ensure a fine bread texture!
- In a medium glass bowl, microwave the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese together in two, 30-second bursts. Stir with a fork in between microwaving.
- Combine the melted cheese, 1 egg, and flour mixture with your hands and work together until well combined. The dough may still be sticky.
- Pull off a quarter of the dough and shape it into a ball by rolling it around between the palms of your hands. Puncture the middle of the ball with your thumbs to create the bagel shape, gently pull the circle to make a larger bagel, and place it on the parchment paper.
- Repeat shaping the other three bagels, generously brush with a whisked egg, and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake on the middle rack for 18-20 minutes or until the tops are deeply browning.
- Let cool for a few minutes, cut with a bread knife, and serve fresh for best results. Store in an airtight container and toast to re-crisp.
