Hocus Pocus Dinner Party
Hocus Pocus Dinner Party
With Hocus Pocus 2 in the works, I thought a themed party for this Halloween season was necessary! To celebrate, I pulled together my favorite spooky pieces and cooked up a delicious meal to share. You must try my focaccia recipe. It’s so simple and packs so much flavor! Read on and create your own spooky Hocus Pocus-inspired dinner party…
Park Your Broom!
Place a rack by your front door or set up your entryway bench with brooms and signage to greet your guests. I got this “I Smell Children” sign from an Etsy shop that I leave up for Halloween decoration. For a spooky ambiance, check out this fog machine! Word of warning, I can only turn it on for a few minutes at a time. So, for greetings or a picture, it’s magical! But for an entire gathering, it would be too much. Mix the look with old-school lanterns or candles for a touch of glow magic.
Set The Table
Set your harvest table at night topped with a lush garland of matte black painted pumpkins, fall leaves, and lit black candles. Check out my favorite fall entertaining finds in this post! Additionally, the chairs and candles are from Amazon.
A Hearty Fall Meal
I served this delicious fall soup favorite from my childhood, “Brunswick Stew”. And paired it with a black olive spider focaccia bread, recipe here.
Drinks and Desserts
For dessert, I love cookie boxes as a way to display confectionery art. My talented cookie friend, Pink Apron Confections, created these adorable Hocus Pocus-themed cookies. The set was perfect for this year’s Boo Box! She also contributed to last year’s Boo Box which you can find in my new book!
