Heart Shaped Chocolate Tarts

If you have a chocolate lover in your house, you must make these delicious dark chocolate, but sweet heart-shaped tarts! With a crumbly graham cracker crust and fresh fruit on top, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser too. You can get these heart-shaped tart pans here!

Dark Chocolate Tarts

makes: 4 mini tarts

Crust Ingredients:

  • 10 whole graham crackers
  • 6 tbl butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Filling Ingredients:

  • 7 oz dark chocolate, in pieces
  • 1 1/2  cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbl unsalted butter, softened
  • optional: fresh strawberries & raspberries for decorating

Directions:

  1. In a food processor, process the graham crackers into a fine crumb. Add the sugar and melted butter and process again until a crumbly dough forms.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare the crusts by pressing a handful of crumbly dough into the bottom of each pan. Carefully press up and around the sides to form the crust shape with your fingertips.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool at room temperature. Set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl add the chocolate and set aside.
  5. In a small saucepan, bring the heavy whipping cream to a simmer and immediately pour over the chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes to melt.
  6. Add the sugar and butter, and stir with a whisk until smooth and creamy.
  7. Carefully pour the chocolate into the cooled tart crusts and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  8. Decorate with fresh berries and serve!
