Gingerbread Design 2023
Gingerbread Design 2023 was inspired by a Jane Austin type Cottage. I loved this design so much, I had a dinner party to showcase it and serve up my favorite gingerbread cookies.
This gingerbread-building recipe always leaves me a good amount of leftover dough. Usually I make little mug hugger houses but this year I made extra cookies for decorating and hot cocoa toppers. Get my gingerbread building recipe and tips here!
Hot Cocoa Decorations
I love to add a charred flavor and look to my cocoa marshmallows with a kitchen torch! Add a gingerbread cookie like this candy cane which melts into the cocoa and adds gingerbread flavor.
Homemade paper table topper
Butcherblock paper is the perfect color match for gingerbread. I rolled it out to the length of the table and drew little gingerbread and Christmas designs in a chalk pen for a fun backdrop to this tablescape.
Snowman Cupcakes
My kiddo helped me make these adorable snowman fight cupcakes. We had fun creating the scenes for each gingerbread cupcake with a delicious cream cheese frosting.
The Gingerbread Cottage
This house took me about a week to design, bake, assemble, and decorate. It’s my favorite part of my Christmas traditions so I always make sure I have time to create one. Everything is edible from the gelatin windows to the royal icing candles. The chimneys are even functional with little smoke exiting the tops when I blow out the candles.
