Christmas Dinner Table Runner!
How to Create a Christmas Dinner Table Runner!
For my Christmas dinner table this year, I decided to go with all wood tones and crisp whites with a dash of gold. This DIY table runner was the perfect finishing touch to bring life to the center of the table! I started with a live Salal garland from my local florist and dressed it up with pinecones, baked orange slices, pomegranates, and a mixture of evergreens from around my yard! Pair it with your favorite tabletop items like these wood chargers, white scalloped plates, and white linen napkins (all from Pier 1) wrapped up with a piece of twine, a sprig of evergreen, and a cinnamon stick! For a touch of elegance, I added gold details like the flatware and gold-rimmed glassware. You can find my shopping list of Christmas dining essentials here!
You can keep your garland fresh and alive by simply spritzing it with water every day. It also looks beautiful in its dried state which I love to use for my fall table runner! Check out this post about a DIY dried table runner for fall dining here!
Finally, these handmade place cards were my favorite touch! To make them, hand tear watercolor paper to size and dip them in coffee. Let them dry for a few hours before finishing them with your best handwriting or calligraphy skills!
