Gourd Vibes Only!
Oh my gourd, it’s fall! And I’m full of puns and pumpkin color inspiration for your next gourdgeous gathering. Read along to get all my tips and inspiration for hosting your next fall colors dinner party.
The Setting
I love a good garland, especially on a staircase, and I don’t reserve it just for the Christmas season at my house. I got these leaf stems at Micheals at the end of the season a few years ago in bulk, and I have loved creating this backdrop for my foyer ever since! I mix it up with sprigs of berries and strings of garland to give it that full look. It inspires me with all that fall color whenever I walk past, so I knew I had to give it a dinner spotlight.
The centerpiece is made of fresh pumpkins from the grocery store and a collection of ombre candles, which I got here!

The yellow plates are from Williams Sonoma, and the linen napkins are from World Market. For more color, I added a yellow knit blanket to the bench and terracotta jack-o-lanterns to each plate.

The Drinks
I love the color of apple cider for this gathering, so I mixed up a quick batch for color and delicious flavor. As a side bonus, the whole house smells of apple cider. Apple cider is really easy and fun to make. I have a wonderful recipe in my fall book which you can find here.

Simple Pumpkin-Inspired Dishes
This fall-inspired salad is a mix of greens, pomegranate, pecans, goat cheese, and twice-baked sweet potato pumpkin tots. I like to serve this with a pomegranate vinaigrette.

This might be my new favorite fall dish or appetizer. Acorn squash has a light and sweet flavor when baked and can be the base of so many dishes. I like to pair it with a spicy chili for a more savory meal or serve it as a sweet appetizer like this maple cinnamon dish. Get the recipe here!

Dessert
This classic pumpkin bread tray is a double batch of this recipe. For taste and texture variety, I sprinkled a few with powder sugar, coated some with a cinnamon sugar mixture, and covered the acorns with icing and chopped pecans.

For extra fun, I displayed this year’s haunted choco-house. You can find my gingerbread recipe and tips for house building in this blogpost. TIP: I swap out the holiday spices for cocoa powder to build my darker choco-houses.

Happy Halloween, Gourdgeous pals!
