Homemade Fresh Pesto Recipe
Homemade Fresh Pesto is one of my favorite easy things to make! My basil grows out of control here in Florida, especially in the summertime. I love finding new ways to use and not waste it! I use a lot in my Caprese salads that I eat almost daily. And the rest, I make into pesto and use in my homemade pizzas, bread, and as a simple dip! For this recipe, don’t worry about destemming the basil or mincing the garlic cloves. Just add everything into the processor and let it do its job!
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Basil Leaves
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/3 Cup Pine Nuts
- 3 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper To Taste
Directions:
- Wash and pat dry the basil.
- Add basil, cheese, nuts, and garlic to a food processor and pulse until well chopped.
- Add the olive oil, salt, and pepper, and process until fairly smooth texture.
- Keep in the refrigerator or long term in the freezer.
