DIY Pink Plaster Wall
Starting with this beautiful pink wall, I simply stacked some old drywall together and had some fun with joint compound and pink paint. It’s all about being random and mixing in some white color to get different shades. I also went to town beating up the wall after I added the joint compound. If you use a scraper tool after it dries, you can get that weathered look of old wall dreams. I also used a sponge when I added my final layer of paint to get a blotchy finish. It’s the perfect backdrop for this bold art piece I found at HomeGoods and my favorite World Market Gold Bar Cart.
Fancy Tablecloth Hack!
Large tablecloths are typically quite costly. You can rent them but they’ll still cost you a pretty penny. My solution is simple! Fabric By The Yard from any craft store. Especially from the discount rack. And the cheaper the material the better for tableware. Like this thick polyester floral print that cost me under $20 for 5 yards. The thick material doesn’t need an underlayer and it doesn’t wrinkle easily! I simply trimmed the edges to clean it up.
Thematic Touches
I like to add a touch of the obvious to every themed holiday celebration. It may seem subtle but it’s really all you need to make a theme stand out in a classy way. These heart-shaped cookies with their little floral accents by Pink Apron Confections were the perfect plate toppers.
