5 Game Of Thrones Dessert Ideas with Limited Edition Oreos!
Game Of Thrones Dessert Ideas
with limited edition Oreos
Looking for what to serve for this weekend’s Game Of Thrones premiere!? Or simply hunting down some Oreo dessert ideas? You’ve come to the right place! We have just 4 days left until the final season of Game Of Thrones starts and this fangirl is freaking out over the special edition Oreos that hit stores earlier this week. I set out on a mission to create some inspiring treats for all the GOT parties going down this weekend and this short list is packed full of my favorite Oreo inspired ideas…
1. Oreo cream tart!
Cookie crust tarts are my absolute favorite because they are SO easy to make and always come out delicious! For this crust, you will need a whole box (30 cookies) of Oreos and 1 stick (8 tablespoons) of butter. Separate the cookies from the cream centers and use a food processor to finely chop the cookies into crumbs. I like to leave my butter out on the counter for about an hour to soften before I bake tarts so that it’s easier to incorporate. I simply use my hands to mix the butter with the cookie crumbs until it is well incorporated. Press that mixture into a tart pan, use a fork to poke a few holes in the base of the crust, and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes just to give it some strength. When the crust cools off, you can add your filling and refrigerate to harden. For this filling, I used an Oreo buttercream and topped it with more buttercream for the details, cookie crumbs, sprinkles, and GOT cookies. Check out this buttercream recipe from Sally’s Baking Adiction.
2. Homemade Oreo Ice Cream In Black Waffle Cones
Check out my delicious homemade ice cream post here! And stay tuned for a how-to tutorial on these gorgeous dark chocolate ice cream cones! Hint: they’re super easy in a waffle iron! 3. Oreo Ice Cream Crumb Cake
To get this look, I took a store-bought ice cream cake and rolled it in Oreo cookie crumbs. Then, I added swirls of Oreo frosting to hold the cookie toppers in place. 4. Oreo Frosted Brownies Topped With A Wolf Crumb Stencil
This can work with just about any brownie recipe. To get the stencil on the top, I use my Cricut to cut out this *free file* in a 4×5 square. If you plan on adding the following Oreo frosting, you will want to freeze your brownies for about 5 minutes before placing your cut stencil on top so it won’t stick. Then, use a flour sifter with finely chopped Oreo cookie crumbs to fill in your stencil. You can also use powdered sugar on brownies sans frosting as an alternative!
5. Oreo Cupcakes
This one is as easy as it gets! Bake your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe or cheat and buy some from the bakery and toss the frosting! Then top with your own Oreo frosting.
