Host an Easter Egg Themed, Watercolor Macaron Decorating Party

Happy Spring and welcome to the month of April! We have some wonderful Spring and Easter inspiration lined up for you this year starting with this watercolor macaron decorating party inspired by our favorite colors of spring and traditional Easter Egg decorating. Take some style tips and host your own party with your family or friends to kick off the most lovely season of the year!

Can’t find all the flowers you want for your beautiful centerpiece? Head to your local craft store and pick up a few high end stems to mix in with your seasonal bouquet. You really can’t tell which are silks if you use just a few and you can reuse them in the future when they aren’t in season! I also added coordinating speckled eggs for the perfect finishing touch to this Easter arrangement which I put together on top of a cake stand with a block of floral foam.  I found these Royal Doulton pastel plates at a Home Goods this year and stashed them away for a future event. Mary Poppins Returns reference anyone? I was so excited to recognize the name of a dinnerware company!! And aren’t they just the perfect addition to this tablescape’s place settings? Pastel treat fest! Meringues, macarons, and cookies… my favorite sweets. These gorgeous cookies are by my talented friend, Pink Apron Confections! You can make your own macarons or make it easy on yourself like I did and purchase a few dozen from your local bakery. I chose these based on color instead of flavor since we were intending to decorate them. How lovely is this color combination!? A peony painted wall sets the scene for this pink linen tablecloth and velvet chairs. I would paint my entire house in this pattern if I could! For the watercolor activity, pick up a few paint palettes, some food coloring, and almond extract. Mix a drop of food coloring with the almond extract to create your paint colors. You can mix the wells to blend as many colors as you like! Yellow suede is my jam this year. Thank goodness it looks so fab next to my obvious color obsession, pink! These shoes by Antonio Melani can be found at Dillard’s. Along with my entire outfit and accessories which my friend and fellow style blogger, Sabrina Servance helped me pick out <3 No need to be a perfectionist here, it’s all about the experience! Enjoy creating simple, traditional Easter egg-inspired designs or try your hand at watercolor florals! Happy Easter decorating!!
